All complaints about staff are to be directed to Admins via modmail for privacy reasons. This will be dealt with internally on a case-by-case basis.
If a complaint is about an Admin, then please DM Doug personally.
All Millelith are expected to read the Millelith Moderation Guidelines for an in-depth guide on how to moderate the server properly. General Moderation Procedures should be followed. Any additional approaches to moderating specific Pillar categories should be observed under each Specific Moderation Procedure.
- Additionally,
Millelithare expected to check up on #reports on a frequent basis to deal with any !reports that have come through from the community.
Furthermore, Millelith are also expected to check through any of the pillar #staff-logs occasionally and ensure the consistency of the General Moderation Procedures are followed by all Pillars.
- Any instances of egregious moderation abuse or overstepping of moderating powers should be reported to the Head Millelith,
@Synity, in#millelith-headquarters.
- Wangsheng Theorycrafting
Wangsheng Editors and Wangsheng Scholars, although non-moderating, can follow the rules below and verbally warn everyone in a channel to drop a discussion and alert a Wangsheng Handler (Mod) or Millelith as necessary.
Wangsheng Mods are expected to help moderate the chats while providing help. Moderation can be passed to a Millelith via !report or ping to escalate.
Close attention should be given to Rule 1 on harassment and being respectful of others' opinions, Rule 2 on controversial topics, and Rule 8 on the prohibition of pre-TC. When things get heated in discussions and moderation is necessary, proceed by verbally warning everyone in the channel involved that continued discussion will result in a warning and further punishment if necessary.
- If a user continues to discuss a topic that was asked to be dropped, follow the minor infraction procedure. Do not resort to giving a formal warning.
- A warning should be reserved for when a discussion has fallen into serious personal attacks and swearing and immediate action is required to clear the users involved.
It is integral to those who are moderating the TC category that they uphold a high standard of behavior in the TC channels. Be the change you want to see.
- If a moderator is acting poorly and is engaging in heated discussions and arguing back and forth with drama-causing users it sets a bad precedent.
- Moving on from a topic is the most important, even if you personally hold your own opinion about a discussion
- It's integral that when you are trying to put out fires, you do not participate in the discussions or provide your own stance or two cents on the matter. It's really easy to get caught up in the discussions and feel invested, but you have to set that aside.
- Most of the time, you do more harm than good and create a potential situation where people will argue back.
- It's important that you set aside your own views in favor of ending the discussion entirely for everyone across the board.
- It is important that staff are the ones putting out fires, not reigniting them.
Users who come in and are clearly trying to get people worked up and emotional can be treated as breaching Rule 1 on harassment. They can then be warned by following the procedures for minor infractions.
- Individuals who engage with such users and proceed to “lash out” back at these users should be treated equally. A warning may be warranted. Approach on a case-by-case basis.
- Guhua Guides
Guhua Guide (Help), although non-moderating, can follow the rules below and verbally warn everyone in a channel to drop a discussion and alert a Guhua Agent (Mod)orMillelith``` as necessary.**
Guhua Mods are expected to help moderate the chats while providing help. Moderation can be passed to a Millelith via !report or a direct ping to escalate.

Anything that breaches Discord TOS should be treated with a high degree of seriousness as it could get the whole server in trouble. Where NSFW rules have been breached, usually a long mute or ban may be warranted.
Discretion lies entirely with @Thoxic and should be consulted for any issues in the NSFW category.
