Staff Guidelines

info

If you have a dispute/disagreement with a staff member you can't resolve, talk to your pillar head/vice head. If the dispute involves a pillar head/vice head, talk to synity or another admin. If it involves an admin, talk to mr.doug.

Welcome to the KQM staff! Now that you’re part of our growing organization, we do have some rules & guidelines that we expect our staff to abide by during their time here.

  • KeqingMains staff members are, to some degree, seen as representatives of KeqingMains. With this in mind, please make sure that your behavior appropriately reflects this. Being a staff member means that you need to hold yourself to a higher standard, not a lower one.

  • Staff are expected to follow the same #server-rules as everyone else.

  • Do not leak the content of staff chats to the public. Staff chats (Celestia, Jade Chamber and various staff servers & voice chats) are private settings and topics brought up can be sensitive. If you want to share a meme or funny post, please make sure you check with the poster and that it is appropriate for public channels.

  • Do not mention Carl’s Highlight system in public. It is a tool for convenience and moderation which prioritizes efficiency for many staff.

  • Staff resources (Onboarding, KQM Google Drives, Figma, media like Youtube, any and all documents) are private and shouldn't be shared outside of staff without explicit permission.

  • Staff chat is no place for NSFW. While staff chat is more relaxed and open than public channels, we still want the chat to be welcoming and comfortable for everyone and we expect a level of civility.

  • Being a staff member does not mean that you are a moderator. We do have section-specific mods like the TC mods/Guhua mods and we have overall mods in the form of Millelith. Call a moderator if you need moderation in a chat - it's not your responsibility to moderate and we don't expect you to. Moderators have specific guidelines they follow when dealing with infractions and the steps they take.

  • The staff channels should be your first avenue to handle disagreements with your fellow staff members - whether you’re disagreeing on how to handle a rule-breaker or what the best Xiao comp is - you should first communicate with your team members on how to handle the situation away from public channels before taking any public action.
